Adrianne: Hey, Billy.
Billy: Hello.
Adrianne: So we’re here today to announce something to the audience.
Billy: This is big. We need help. We need your help.
Adrianne: We need your help. Underunderstood is participating in TRIVIA!, exclamation point, which is a three day-long remote trivia competition that takes place in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and, through the magic of technology, all around the world.
Billy: Yeah. I was very fortunate to get to go and cover this trivia contest, do a little documentary about it. And I have to say in some ways, I think it either, I can’t remember either consciously or subconsciously, it inspired the concept for the show. Because the questions, and this is something like I got my brain got really stuck to, as being a cool hook, is that the questions are essentially designed so that you can’t just search them on Google or a simple, or with some kind of simple search query on the internet.
Adrianne: Right.
Billy: And that’s sort of what our show is based on. So it’s only fitting that we rally our audience, many people in our audience being better at this stuff than we are, and, and partake in this trivia contest.
Adrianne: Right. There’s no limits on team size. So we are fielding a team. We’re doing it through our Discord and we will be answering questions and, I dunno, maybe we’ll even place. I should probably say when trivia is happening, it’s happening April 16th through 18th. So it’s coming up quick. If you have skills with the Google, if you have pop culture knowledge, if you remember things from magazines in the 1990s, if you are in a different time zone from the continental U.S., all of these reasons are things that you should join us for trivia.
Billy: We need all the help we can get, not just from people on our Patreon, but also people who listened to this podcast. Any, and everyone, we need people who are really good at trivia. And I have a feeling we have a lot of listeners who are good at trivia, so anyone can join our team all you have to do is email us. If you email hello at underunderstood dot com with the subject line trivia, one word, we will add you to a channel on Discord where you can participate. I can’t stress how cool this contest
Adrianne: It’s very fun. I feel like you should definitely. If you’re interested at all, you should watch the video. We’ll put it in the show notes. It’s a really fun time.
Billy: Read the article Owen Phillips wrote.
Adrianne: It’ll be a party in Discord. You should do it. So we are also taking our season break. We’ll be back once we have some amazing new episodes finished for everyone. Um, we all have a bunch of life stuff going on right now that just needs to be gotten through so we can get back to spending more time on the show.
Billy: In the meantime, we will still be doing over understood, which is our bonus show that patrons subscribers have access to. Yeah. We, I mean, we do that every week. So if you’d like to listen to us every week, there’s that, um, you know, it’s just, it’s not this show. It’s a different show. It’s kind of the same show, but it’s different.
Adrianne: If you find that you miss us and you’re not a Patreon subscriber, you can subscribe for $5 a month. You get access to the bonus show and you can join us on Discord. Is that all the updates, Billy?
Billy: I mean, as always, if you encounter a question that the internet can’t answer, send it to us.
Adrianne: Yes, absolutely. Hello at Underunderstood dot com. We want you to know. We have a bunch of cool stories that we’re working on and excited to present to you, but we are still looking for more ideas and, uh, maybe yours will turn into a show.
Billy: Okay. So we’ll be back with episodes sometime in the future, but we’re always around. We’re always doing our Patreon show that’s every week and, uh, and we’re doing trivia, which anyone can join. So please email us, subject line trivia. Hello at Underunderstood. And before we let you go, thank you so much for listening to this show.
Adrianne: It really means a lot to us. It’s basically the reason we do it. It’s very cool. And that’s because you all have encouraged us by listening, sharing, writing in. Thank you.
